CrownsA crown or 'cap' is used to completely cover a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a severely broken down tooth, it can also be used as to enhance esthetics by changing the shape color and even alignment of teeth. There are 4 types of crowns that can be placed. Gold, porcelain fused to metal, layered porcelain or solid porcelain. CEREC® uses a solid block of porcelain which can be compared to gold in terms of strength when used in the proper thickness. |

OnlaysAn onlay is used when the filling is large, yet there is still lots of tooth structure to preserve. The onlay is either made from gold or porcelain. They are cemented into the tooth and will have a much longer life span than a filling. InlaysAn inlay is essentially the same as an onlay, with the exception that it is smaller and doesn't involve the high parts,or the cusps, of the tooth. |

Testimonial"I was amazed by the tools that Dr. Wong used to restore my tooth this morning. It was fascinating to see my crown made before my eyes and to be out of the office 'enjoying my new tooth' in less that 2 hours....was incredible! I'll be referring my friends and family. Thanks for the experience." - Deb |
